The second quarter of 2024 has been an active period for virtual fitness programs on iOS in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a snapshot of the trends and performances of key players in this domain.
onX Hunt: GPS Hunting Maps showed a steady revenue trend starting at nearly $1M in the first week of April and peaking at around $1.2M mid-quarter. Downloads began at approximately 12K and saw a peak of 14K towards the end of April. Weekly active users started at 75K and experienced a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run exhibited a significant revenue jump in May, reaching over $1M. Downloads saw a high of 90K in late May, while weekly active users peaked at 353K in early June, indicating a robust engagement.
Peloton: Fitness & Workouts had revenues starting at around $860K, dipping in May, and then slightly recovering to over $720K by the quarter's end. Downloads varied, with an initial 17K decreasing to nearly 12K. Active users were at their highest at 320K in late April, with a downward trend to just under 300K.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike saw its revenue oscillate, starting at nearly $600K, with a noticeable increase to over $830K in the final week of June. Downloads showed a consistent trend, peaking at nearly 70K in early June. Weekly active users were robust, starting at 898K and climbing to over 1M by the quarter's end.
Fitbit: Health & Fitness had a varied revenue trend, starting at around $440K and ending with a significant spike to $1.26M. Downloads began at 19K and had a slight increase through the quarter. Weekly active users showed a gradual decline from 1.88M to 1.78M.
