The second quarter of 2024 has been an interesting period for bubble shooter games on unified platforms, with varied performances across the board. Here's a brief overview of how the top five contenders fared.
Bubble POP GO!, published by UP STUDIO, showed a revenue trend with peaks and troughs, starting at $9M in the first week of April and hitting $45M in late June. Downloads began at 4.2M, peaked at 3.9M in late April, and sharply dropped to 260K by the end of June. Weekly active users started strong at 8.4M, peaked at 10M, and decreased to 5.6M by the quarter's end.
For Bubble Pop! Puzzle Game Legend by BitMango, revenue remained relatively stable, starting at $235M and reaching $315M in the last week of June. The game experienced a downloads decline from 2.1M to 1.3M, while weekly active users had a slight fluctuation, beginning at 13.4M, peaking at 14.9M, and closing the quarter at 13.5M.
Marble Match Origin from LeisureLab Studios also had a fluctuating revenue pattern, from an initial $395M to $399M, with a peak at $472M. Downloads were initially at 1M, peaked at 1.5M mid-quarter, and then settled at 1.2M. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from 5.9M to 7.2M.
Bubble Shooter Family by Playful Bytes saw its revenue peak at $38M in early April, dip to zero in early June, and end with no revenue in the final week. Downloads had a high of 2M in mid-April before falling to 1.2M, while weekly active users grew from 1.5M to 4.1M by the quarter's conclusion.
Lastly, Marble Master, from Teewee Games, began with revenue at $1.05B, with fluctuations leading to $999M towards the end. Downloads showed a peak of 2.3M in early May, but ended lower at 686K. The game's weekly active users started at 10.4M, reached a high of 14.6M, and ended slightly lower at 11.3M.
