During the second quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the Netherlands showed varied performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users. The data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a clear picture of the market dynamics.
Uber - Request a ride saw significant growth in downloads, starting from 10.5K in the first week of April and peaking at 17.1K in the week of April 22. By the end of June, downloads stabilized around 15K. Weekly active users also increased steadily, rising from 255K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 309K by the last week of June.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a consistent increase in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at 10.1K in early April, downloads peaked at 13.9K in the first week of June. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 50.6K and ending the quarter at 56.7K.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a modest download range, beginning at 1.2K in the first week of April and reaching 1.6K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but generally remained around 20K, closing the quarter at 21.9K.
inDrive. Save on city rides showed a varied download pattern, starting at 831 and peaking at 1.9K in early June. Weekly active users saw a small decline from 8.6K at the beginning of April to 8.8K by the end of June.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery had the lowest download figures among the top five, starting at 871 and reaching a peak of 1.5K in the third week of April. Weekly active users showed a slight increase, starting at 4.3K and ending at 4.1K.
