In the second quarter of 2024, the fast food and fast casual restaurants app category showed varying levels of user engagement and downloads across the US market. Data from Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into how each app fared during this period.
McDonald’s Luxemburg saw its downloads fluctuate, peaking at 450K in early June but also experiencing lows of 259K towards the end of May. Weekly active users (WAUs) remained robust, starting at 1.98M in early April and reaching a high of 2.33M by mid-June.
My Burger King BE & LUX experienced a significant spike in downloads, reaching 579K in mid-April, followed by a gradual decline to 214K by the end of June. The WAUs for the app showed a slight upward trend in April but eventually fell to zero by the end of June.
For O'Tacos Officiel, the downloads remained relatively steady, with a slight peak at 67K in late April. The WAUs showed consistency, starting at 381K in the first week of April and hovering around the 390K mark by the end of June.
The Coffee Fellows App had a modest presence in the market, with downloads ranging from 7K at the beginning of April to a peak of 18K in the second week, before dropping to 6K towards the end of June. WAUs data for this app was not available.
Lastly, dean&david saw a low volume of downloads, with a peak of 13K in early April and declining to zero by late June. This app also did not have available WAUs data.
