During the second quarter of 2024, the top five finance apps in Egypt demonstrated varied performance across weekly downloads and active users. Below is an analysis of these key metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
InstaPay Egypt saw strong weekly downloads, starting the quarter with 188K downloads and reaching a peak of approximately 153K by the end of June. Weekly active users for the app remained robust, beginning at 2.2M and showing a slight increase to 2.2M by the end of the quarter.
Halan: Lending, BNPL, Payments experienced a notable upward trend in weekly downloads, starting with 79K and peaking at around 105K by the last week of June. The app also maintained a stable number of weekly active users, increasing from 235K to 245K over the quarter.
Mashreq Egypt showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 39K and reaching a high of approximately 106K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 77K and surging to nearly 297K by the end of the quarter.
myfawry demonstrated steady growth in weekly downloads, starting at 40K and peaking at about 57K in late May. Weekly active users also saw an increase from 504K to 507K throughout the quarter.
BM Online had a varied performance in weekly downloads, starting at 42K, dipping mid-quarter, and then recovering to around 35K by the end of June. Active users saw a slight fluctuation, beginning at 260K and ending at approximately 234K.
