In the second quarter of 2024, the finance app market in Ghana saw significant activity and competition among the top five apps. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower, combining insights from both iOS and Android platforms.
UnikCredit had a standout quarter in terms of downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at 115K in the week of May 27, starting from 37.6K in early April. Active users also saw a steady rise, reaching approximately 237K by the end of June, up from around 78K at the beginning of April.
Fido - Online Loans App, Ghana showed consistent performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 25K and 49K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 237K in April and slightly decreasing to 221K by the end of June.
CosyCredit experienced moderate growth in downloads, peaking at 39.3K in late April. Active users saw a steady increase throughout the quarter, reaching 102K by the end of June, up from 46K at the beginning of April.
ItapCredit also had a notable quarter. Weekly downloads varied, peaking at 43.6K in late April. Active users consistently increased, starting at 63.8K in early April and reaching 117K by the end of June.
MoMo maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads ranging from 23.4K to 37K. Active users showed a slight decline from 214K in early April to 197K by the end of June.
