In the second quarter of 2024, the food delivery service apps continued to compete for market share. With data provided by Sensor Tower, we can observe how these apps have performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
PedidosYa - Delivery App maintained a steady pace in downloads, fluctuating from 19K to 23K over the quarter, while weekly active users saw a slight dip from 557K in the first week of April to 547K by the end of June.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a gentle decline in downloads starting at 5K and ending the quarter around 4K. The app's weekly active users showed more volatility, peaking at 68K in late April before settling at 64K by the quarter's close.
Rappi: Market and Food Online showed a downward trend in downloads, starting at 3K and descending to around 2K, with weekly active users decreasing from 193K to 173K. Unlike others, Rappi reported revenues, albeit modest, with a consistent average of around 16K USD per week.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more had a relatively flat download rate, hovering around 800 weekly, with weekly active users showing a slight decrease from 128K in the first week to 127K by the end of June.
Lastly, DoorDash - Food Delivery had the lowest download numbers among the top five, with numbers ranging from 361 to 603, and its active users maintained a narrow band between 8K and 9K throughout the quarter.
