During the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 Gacha games in the United States showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here's a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.
Last War:Survival from FirstFun experienced a steady rise in revenue, peaking at approximately $7.3M in the week of June 10. Downloads saw a notable increase mid-quarter, reaching 343K in the week of May 27, while weekly active users climbed from 521K to 800K by early June, before slightly declining to 695K by the end of the quarter.
Whiteout Survival from Century Games Pte. Ltd. maintained a consistent revenue stream, peaking at around $6.1M in the week of April 22. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 253K in the week of June 17. Weekly active users showed a steady increase, reaching nearly 1.5M by the end of June.
Wuthering Waves by KURO GAMES saw an initial surge in downloads, with 1.75M in the week of May 20, but this number quickly tapered off to 52K by the end of June. Revenue followed a similar pattern, peaking at $2.2M in early June and then decreasing. Weekly active users also declined from 1.64M to 558K over the quarter.
8 Ball Pool™ from Miniclip.com demonstrated a stable performance with revenue peaking at $568K in mid-May. Downloads remained steady around 150K per week, with a slight increase to 175K towards the end of June. Weekly active users peaked at 1.82M in early May before a gradual decline to 1.58M by the end of the quarter.
Solo Leveling:Arise by Netmarble Corporation saw a strong start with 947K downloads in the week of May 6, followed by a rapid decline to 59K by the end of June. Revenue mirrored this trend, starting at $2.2M and then decreasing to $751K. Despite the drop in downloads and revenue, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 919K.
