Throughout the second quarter of 2024, the top five maps and navigation applications in New Zealand displayed diverse performance trends. Here is a detailed look at how each app fared based on data from Sensor Tower.
Navionics® Boating from Garmin Italy Technologies srl saw fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $8.5K in early April and dipping to approximately $5.6K by mid-May. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of June, reaching 252. Active users experienced a gradual decrease from 744 in early April to 601 by the end of June.
Spacetalk, developed by Spacetalk Ltd., recorded a notable rise in weekly revenue, starting at $2.1K and culminating at $3.8K by the last week of June. Downloads also showed growth, increasing from 95 in early April to 153 by the end of June.
Circuit Route Planner by Circuit Routing Limited experienced a peak in weekly revenue at $2.2K in mid-May, followed by a steady decline to around $1.4K by the last week of June. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a high of 161 in early June. Active users saw a gradual decline from 786 in early April to 671 by the end of June.
New Zealand Topo Maps from ATLOGIS Geoinformatics GmbH & Co. KG showed a downward trend in weekly revenue, starting at $724 and decreasing to $450 by the end of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at 158.
Avenza Maps: Offline Mapping by Avenza Systems Inc. saw consistent weekly revenue, with a peak of $684 in early April and ending at $443 in late June. Downloads remained steady, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 167. Active users showed minimal variation, hovering around 450 throughout the quarter.
