As we delve into the second quarter of 2024, the merge game genre continues to captivate mobile users. Here's a snapshot of how the top five merge games performed on the unified platform, courtesy of data from Sensor Tower.
Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story experienced a surge in weekly active users (WAUs), starting from 40K in the first week of April and escalating to over 105K by the end of June. Downloads followed a similar upward trend, rising from 9K to roughly 15K. Revenue also grew from $3K to over $6K in the same period.
For Travel Town - Merge Adventure, the revenue showed fluctuations, with an initial $5K in early April, a slight dip in the following weeks, and a climb back to around $5K by mid-June. Downloads peaked at 982 in the third week of April, with WAUs seeing a gradual decline from 5K to just under 3K by the quarter's end.
Seaside Escape®: Merge & Story, also from Microfun Limited, saw consistent revenue numbers, hovering between $2K and $3K throughout the quarter. The game's downloads varied, with a high of 1.3K in late May. WAUs demonstrated a slight decline, from 4K in the first week of April to approximately 5K by late June.
The performance of Alice's Dream : Merge Games was modest, with revenue starting at $912 and reaching a peak of $933 in mid-May before ending the quarter at $693. WAUs remained relatively stable, ranging from 1.2K to 1.1K, while downloads were negligible.
Lastly, Merge Mansion from Metacore Games Oy showed an interesting pattern with revenue starting at $741, dipping to $402, and then spiking to $812 by the quarter's end. Downloads were low, with the highest at 162 in the fourth week of April, and WAUs saw a slight decline from 3.1K to 2.7K.
