In the merge game category, the second quarter of 2024 has brought us some interesting trends in user engagement and downloads. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of five leading games in this genre.
Travel Town - Merge Adventure by Magmatic Games Ltd showcased a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at nearly $1.8M in early May before descending to around $1.5M by late June. Downloads spiked to 583K in late April but dipped to 227K towards the end of June. Weekly active users started strong with 2.7M but saw a gradual decrease to just over 2M.
Microfun Limited's Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story from China also experienced revenue fluctuations, with a notable increase to $1.1M in late April. Downloads reached a high of 294K in the last week of June, while weekly active users climbed to a peak of 2.6M in the same period.
For Evolution Merge - Eat and Grow by SayGames LTD of Cyprus, there was no revenue to report. However, downloads started at 175K and saw a peak at 223K in mid-April, followed by a drop to 147K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed an upward trend from 502K to 525K in the same timeframe.
Geisha Tokyo Inc.'s Bounce Merge from Japan had no recorded revenue until the last week of June, when it reached $4. Downloads saw a significant surge from 87K to 438K, and weekly active users experienced a massive jump to 860K, indicating a growing interest in the game.
Lastly, Merge & Fight - Dinosaur Game by HOMA GAMES of France also had no revenue reported, but downloads and active users presented a steady pattern. Downloads reached a high of 167K in late April and late June, while weekly active users increased from 410K to 499K over the quarter.
