The high seas of mobile gaming saw a flurry of activity among pirate-themed games in the second quarter of 2024, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's how the top five titles fared on the unified platform.
Sea of Conquest: Pirate War by FunPlus International AG showed a noticeable trend with its revenue peaking at $4M towards the end of the quarter. Downloads, however, dipped to as low as 76K mid-quarter but saw a slight increase to 116K by the end. Weekly active users started at 6.4M and slightly declined to 4.5M.
Go Go Magnet! from Oh BiBi had a mixed quarter with revenue hitting a high of $424K in early June before dropping to $48K. Downloads spiked to 628K in late May but fell to 115K by the quarter's end. Unfortunately, weekly active user data was not available.
Roger That: Merge Adventure!, developed by Samfinaco LLC, experienced modest revenue growth, starting at $46K and rising to $115K. Downloads were sporadic, peaking at 77K in mid-April, with no new downloads recorded in the latter half of June. Weekly active users showed a slight but steady decrease from 442K to 370K.
JOYCITY Corp's classic, Pirates of the Caribbean : ToW, saw revenues ranging from $422K to $305K with a mid-quarter spike to $578K. Downloads were non-existent until a surge to 4M in late April, followed by a drop-off to zero. Weekly active users started at 1M, peaked at 3.9M, and ended at 1.5M.
Lastly, Pirate Kings™ by Playtika LTD had revenues fluctuating between $17K and $134K, with no new downloads recorded throughout the quarter. No data was available for weekly active users.
