The digital seas have been bustling with activity as we look into the performance of pirate-themed games on the unified platform for the second quarter of 2024. Here's a snapshot of how these games fared, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.
Sea of Conquest: Pirate War by FunPlus International AG kicked off the quarter with revenues of nearly $20K, experiencing a slight decline to around $15K by the end. Downloads saw a peak in early April with over 3K but tapered off to approximately 1.5K towards June's end. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase from around 29K to over 31K.
SPARKLER GAMES' Lord of Seas showed an upward revenue trend starting at $916 and reaching $1.9K by the quarter's close. Downloads had a significant spike in late April with over 2K new players, while weekly active users more than doubled from 1.5K to over 3.3K in the same period, indicating a growing interest in the game.
Joycity Corp's Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW generated revenues between $600 and $800 with a mid-quarter peak at over $1K. Downloads varied, with an April high of approximately 1.3K, and active users peaked in late April with over 1.5K before settling closer to 750 by the end of June.
TAPCLAP's Pirate Treasures - Gems Puzzle saw consistent revenue between $500 and $600, with weekly active users starting at around 1.8K and slightly decreasing to just over 1.3K. Downloads experienced a noticeable peak of 840 in mid-April but dropped to lower double digits in the following weeks.
Lastly, Samfinaco LLC's Roger That: Merge Adventure! began the quarter with a revenue of $593 and experienced fluctuations, ending with a similar figure. Downloads started strong at 870 but fell to zero by the quarter's end, reflecting a significant drop in new player acquisition. Weekly active users followed a downward trend from 1.8K to just under 900.
