During the second quarter of 2024, the top five PVP games in the United States exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance on a unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android, sourced from Sensor Tower.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw a gradual increase in revenue, starting from $13.7M in the first week of April and peaking at approximately $15.1M in mid-June. Downloads also displayed a steady rise, reaching over 622K by the last week of June. Weekly active users grew from around 30.8M at the beginning of the quarter to over 34M by the end.
Squad Busters, a new release from Supercell, showed a significant surge in both revenue and downloads. Revenue started modestly in May but soared to around $2.3M by early June. Downloads spiked to nearly 4.5M in the last week of May and maintained a steady pace, ending the quarter with over 255K downloads in the final week. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 3.2M in late May.
MONOPOLY GO! from Scopely, Inc. saw a high revenue throughout the quarter, starting at approximately $38M in early April and fluctuating to around $27.7M by the end of June. Downloads remained steady, with a slight increase from 406K in early April to over 416K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from about 1.65M to around 1.25M.
Brawl Stars, another popular game from Supercell, experienced a notable increase in revenue, peaking at around $5.7M in late April. Downloads were highest in early May, reaching over 612K, before stabilizing around 322K by the end of June. Weekly active users saw an increase from approximately 7.9M at the start of the quarter to about 10.1M in late June.
Finally, Subway Surfers from Sybo Games ApS demonstrated consistent performance in downloads and weekly active users. Downloads ranged from 212K to 291K throughout the quarter. Revenue remained relatively stable, peaking at around $56K in mid-May. Weekly active users increased from approximately 9.2M in early April to nearly 10M by the end of June.
