In the second quarter of 2024, the top social networking applications in the Middle East exhibited notable trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a breakdown of their performance:
Azar: Video Chat & Meet People from Hyperconnect LLC saw weekly revenue climb steadily, peaking at around $329K by mid-June. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of approximately 23K in early April and a low of about 19.5K by mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 190K to 205K throughout the quarter.
Tango - Live Stream, Go Live by TangoMe, Inc. experienced consistent revenue growth, reaching about $311K in the final week of June. Downloads saw significant spikes, particularly in early April with over 54K downloads. Active users maintained a robust presence, with numbers fluctuating between approximately 550K and 650K.
BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live from BIGO TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. showed stable revenue, hitting a peak of about $273K in late April. Weekly downloads were strong, ranging from around 65K to 88K. The app also recorded a high active user base, consistently above 1.1M throughout the quarter.
SUGO: Live Voice Chat Party by MOBILE ALPHA LIMITED saw a significant increase in revenue, reaching approximately $182K by the end of June. Downloads varied, peaking at around 40K in late June. Active users showed a steady increase, growing from about 88K in early April to over 103K by the end of the quarter.
SayHi Chat - Meet New People by UNEARBY LIMITED recorded a revenue peak of around $113K in the last week of June. Downloads were relatively steady, with weekly numbers ranging from 11K to 19K. Active user counts remained strong, fluctuating between approximately 205K and 224K.
