In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 sports apps in Kenya experienced diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Below is a detailed look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Bangbet Throughout Q2 2024, Bangbet saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads. The quarter started strong with approximately 276K downloads in the first week of April, but this number gradually declined, hitting a low of about 26K by mid-May. Weekly active users also showed a downward trend, starting at around 471K and ending the quarter at approximately 257K.
Live Football TV HD Streaming Live Football TV HD Streaming began Q2 2024 with a peak in weekly downloads at around 548K. However, the downloads dropped sharply to just over 2K by early June. Despite this, the app maintained a reasonably stable number of weekly active users, starting at approximately 430K and ending at around 138K.
Betika Betika’s weekly downloads showed a more consistent pattern, starting with about 183K in the first week of April and fluctuating around 45K to 97K throughout the quarter. The app maintained a robust number of weekly active users, beginning at approximately 972K and ending at around 974K.
Odi bets Betting app Odi bets Betting app had a relatively stable download rate, starting at around 72K and ending with approximately 21K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users began at about 254K and saw a slight decline, closing the quarter at around 217K.
SportPesa Kenya SportPesa Kenya experienced a steady download rate, beginning with approximately 85K downloads in the first week of April and ending with about 24K by the last week of June. The app’s weekly active users showed a similar trend, starting at around 241K and ending the quarter at approximately 218K.
