Q2 2024 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in Global Markets

In the second quarter of 2024, the theme park app category has shown varying trends in downloads and user engagement. Here's a closer look at how the top 5 theme parks apps performed globally on a unified platform, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Europa-Park & Rulantica saw a steady rise in downloads starting from 8K in the first week of April to over 12K by the end of June. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, beginning at approximately 11K and reaching over 15K.

Karls experienced its highest number of downloads in the first week of April with 16K, followed by fluctuations and a slight uptick towards the end of June with downloads around 7K. The data does not include weekly active users for Karls.

Heide Park Resort witnessed a moderate performance, with downloads beginning at 6K and dipping to 3K mid-April before recovering to 5K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users remained quite robust, starting at 27K and maintaining above 25K throughout the quarter.

Phantasialand showed a decrease in downloads from 5K to around 3K in mid-April, but picked up momentum to reach over 7K downloads by late June. Weekly active users exhibited growth from 7K to over 8K in the same period.

Disneyland® Paris, the only app with reported revenue, showed modest earnings with the highest at $85 in late April. Downloads started at 6K, dropped to around 3K, and then stabilized at 4K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users presented a peak of 16K in late May, with a decrease to 10K in early June, but recovered to above 10K by the quarter's end.
