In the second quarter of 2024, the virtual fitness space saw diverse performance across popular applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the trends for the top five apps in this category.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a fluctuating revenue trend starting at around $39K and peaking at nearly $47K before settling close to $42K by the end of June. Downloads peaked at nearly 10K in the final week of June, while weekly active users showed an upward trend, ending the quarter with approximately 267K active users.
Traininpink: Pilates e Fitness saw its revenue peak in early April at over $41K but dipped to around $28K by late June. Downloads for the app showed a decline from 2.8K to around 1.5K, and there were no available data on weekly active users.
For komoot - hike, bike & run, the quarter began with a revenue of about $27K, reaching a low of around $15K in early May, then rebounded to approximately $19K by the quarter's end. Downloads started strong at over 22K but saw a decrease, concluding the quarter at nearly 12K. The app's weekly active users were initially around 199K and experienced a rise to 182K.
Tripix Tech S.R.L.'s Buddyfit: Fitness & Yoga showed consistent revenue throughout the quarter, with a slight decrease from $19K to around $12K. Downloads exhibited a descending trend from 3.2K to 1.3K, and weekly active users decreased from 13K to under 10K.
Wikiloc Outdoor Navigation GPS generated revenue that varied across the quarter, starting at $13K, peaking at roughly $17K, and closing at about $15K. Downloads saw fluctuations, with a high of 14.5K and ending the quarter at 10K. The app's weekly active users showed growth, starting at approximately 28K and rising to 34K.
