During the second quarter of 2024 in Germany, the top five wellness apps exhibited varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared:
Headspace: Sleep & Meditation from Headspace Inc. saw its weekly revenue fluctuate between $43K and $47K, peaking at $47K in mid-April. Downloads ranged from approximately 3.5K to 5K per week, with a notable increase to 5K at the end of April. The app maintained a strong weekly active user base, ranging from 75K to 94K, with a peak in mid-June at 90K.
Calm by Calm.com experienced a decline in revenue throughout the quarter, starting at $34K and ending at $25K. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 2K per week, with a slight increase to 2.7K in mid-May. Weekly active users showed a downward trend from 46K at the beginning of April to 37K by the end of June.
Aumio: Sleep Sounds & Stories from Aumio GmbH recorded a significant rise in revenue, starting at $11K and reaching $36K by the end of June. Downloads showed variability, peaking at 2K in early June. The app did not have available data for weekly active users.
Sleep Cycle - Tracker & Sounds by Sleep Cycle AB saw consistent revenue, fluctuating between $13K and $15K. Downloads peaked at 6.5K in late April before declining to around 3K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained strong, averaging over 230K, with a peak of 261K in late April.
7Mind Meditation & Sleep from 7Mind showed stable revenue, ranging from $11K to $15K. Downloads varied, peaking at 5.8K in late May. Weekly active users fluctuated between 17K and 21K, with a peak in late May.
