In the third quarter of 2024, the anime gaming scene on Android in Germany showcased intriguing trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these top five games experienced varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
DRAGON BALL LEGENDS, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., saw its weekly revenue peak at around $96K in early July, before gradually declining, ending the quarter with a resurgence to $70K. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 1.8K and 3.6K, with a noticeable increase towards the end of September. The game maintained a robust active user base, starting at approximately 80K and experiencing a dip mid-quarter before recovering to nearly 58K by September's end.
Solo Leveling:Arise from Netmarble began the quarter with a weekly revenue of about $54K, experiencing fluctuations and concluding at $22K. Downloads showed a similar pattern, starting at 2.1K and ending at 1.9K, with a peak of 2.4K in early August. Active users demonstrated resilience, increasing from 80K to around 91K by the quarter's close.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Idle, also by Netmarble, launched in mid-August with an initial weekly revenue of $19K. The game saw its revenue peak at $26K shortly after launch but ended the quarter at $7K. Downloads started strong with 4.8K, tapering off to 2.4K. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 4.6K and concluding at 3.8K.
ONE PIECE TREASURE CRUISE-RPG from Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. had a notable surge in weekly revenue in mid-August, reaching $65K, but generally hovered around $13K to $34K throughout the quarter. Downloads witnessed a significant spike to 5K in mid-August, before settling back to approximately 500 by the end of September. The active user count saw an uptick to about 21K in mid-August before gradually decreasing to 10K.
Lastly, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel by KONAMI displayed steady revenue, peaking at $12K in early August and maintaining figures around $6.5K to $9K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads stayed relatively stable, fluctuating between 1.3K and 2K. Active users grew from 8.5K in early July to approximately 11.8K by the end of September.
