In the third quarter of 2024, the top five apparel applications on the Android platform in the United States showcased varied trends in downloads and weekly active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at their performance.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a significant volume of downloads, starting with approximately 310K in early July and peaking at nearly 339K by mid-July. However, downloads saw a gradual decrease towards the end of the quarter, settling at around 214K. The app maintained robust engagement with weekly active users ranging from 3.2M to over 3.3M, indicating stable user interaction throughout the quarter.
Nike: Shoes, Apparel & Stories saw its download numbers fluctuate slightly, beginning with 63K and concluding with approximately 56K. The app's weekly active users showed a declining trend from a peak of about 692K in late July to around 520K by the end of September.
Zenni - Eyewear for Everyone had a moderate start with downloads at around 19K, seeing a peak in mid-August with over 32K, before ending the quarter at roughly 22K. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, increasing from 102K to over 124K by the end of September, suggesting growing user engagement.
adidas: Shop Shoes & Clothing began with 8.9K downloads and reached a mid-quarter high of nearly 16K before closing at about 9.5K. The active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 94K and 103K throughout the quarter.
Finally, the PUMA | Clothes & Shoes App showed a consistent increase in downloads, starting from 5.2K and peaking at 13.5K in early September. Active users followed a similar positive trajectory, rising from approximately 24K to over 38K by early September, then slightly tapering off to 32.5K by the end of the quarter.
