In the third quarter of 2024, the top Books and Reference apps on Android in France demonstrated varied performance patterns, as captured by Sensor Tower's data.
Sekundo - Sell books saw a noticeable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 8.2K in early July and peaking at around 17.9K by mid-August before stabilizing at approximately 10.7K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users followed a similar upward trajectory, starting at 35K and reaching a high of about 47.5K in August before slightly declining to 41.2K by the end of the quarter.
DeepL: translate & write maintained a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 7K and increasing to over 10.6K by the end of September. Its active user base showed a consistent increase, growing from 176K to more than 192K users over the quarter.
Audible: Audio Entertainment experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at $48.9K, then varying between $41K and $52K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads showed a significant rise towards the end, reaching 10K in the last week of September. Active users consistently hovered above 460K, peaking at 528K mid-quarter.
Amazon Kindle displayed strong revenue performance, with weekly figures ranging from $72.9K to a peak of $136.5K in late August. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 6.1K to 6.8K weekly. The app's active users slightly fluctuated, maintaining a range between 172K and 190K.
Wattpad - Read & Write Stories showed a decline in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads decreased from 7.6K at the beginning of July to approximately 3.4K by the end of September. Similarly, active users dropped from around 299K to 216K during the same period. Weekly revenue showed moderate fluctuations, ranging from $3.1K to $4.9K.
