In the third quarter of 2024, the city building game genre on Android in Egypt showcased varied performances across the top five apps. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides valuable insights into the trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Global City: Building Games from MY.GAMES B.V. saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $138 in early September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a high of 21.7K in mid-July, while weekly active users decreased from 51.8K in July to 22.7K by the end of September.
Transport Tycoon Empire: City by Alda Games did not generate revenue during the quarter. However, weekly downloads showed a gradual increase, reaching 3.6K at the end of September. The app's active users also saw a rise, peaking at around 9.8K in mid-August.
State Connect: Traffic Control by CASUAL AZUR GAMES did not report any revenue. The downloads peaked at 12.9K in mid-August, but then declined, with no downloads reported in the latter half of September. Active users, however, maintained a steady presence, peaking at 18.6K in mid-August before gradually decreasing to 3.2K by the end of the quarter.
SimCity BuildIt from ELECTRONIC ARTS experienced a decline in weekly revenue, with a notable drop to $31 at the end of September. Downloads varied, reaching a high of 2.5K in late July, while active users saw a peak of 18K in July before slightly declining to 13.5K by the end of September.
Lastly, Tropical Merge: Merge game by Slimmerbits LLC started generating revenue mid-quarter, with a peak of $51 in the final week of September. Downloads showed a decline from 1.9K in early July to just over 1K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 6K mark throughout the quarter.
