In the third quarter of 2024, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Norway showcased diverse performance trends, according to Sensor Tower data.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw a fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $137 in the week of August 19. Downloads also varied, starting at 2.6K in early July and closing the quarter at 1.9K. Active users experienced a slight decline from 339.9K at the beginning of the quarter to 324K by the end.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a consistent weekly download rate, hovering around 2K, with a peak of 2.2K in mid-September. Active users showed a declining trend from 1.1M in early July to just over 1M by the end of September.
Snapchat from Snap Inc. experienced its highest weekly revenue of $8.2K in mid-August. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.6K per week. The app’s active user base fluctuated slightly, beginning the quarter at 488.3K and ending at 483.5K.
Telegram showed a significant increase in weekly revenue, reaching $3.5K in the third week of September. Downloads were steady, with a slight peak of 1.6K in late August. Active users remained stable, with figures around 83.7K at the start and 83.6K at the end of the quarter.
Microsoft Edge: AI browser demonstrated modest revenue, with occasional spikes, such as $32 in the second week of July. Downloads grew gradually, peaking at 1.7K in late August. Active users saw a gradual increase, from 34.6K at the beginning of July to 37.2K by the end of September.
