2026 State of Mobile is Live!

During the third quarter of 2024, the consumer finance sector on the Android platform in Greece showcased noteworthy trends in app downloads and active user engagement. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five apps in this category demonstrated varying levels of engagement, reflecting their unique user bases and market strategies.
Piraeus app, developed by Piraeus Bank S.A., observed a dynamic pattern in weekly downloads. Starting at around 19.6K in early July, downloads saw fluctuations, peaking at approximately 35.9K in late August. Active user numbers remained robust, growing from 235.7K to a peak of 284.3K in late August before stabilizing around 271.9K by the end of September.
The NBG Mobile Banking app, from the National Bank of Greece S.A., maintained a steady download rate with a notable spike to 16.6K in late August. Active users showed an overall increase, reaching up to 475.4K in late August before settling at around 416.4K by the end of the quarter.
Eurobank Mobile App experienced a surge in downloads, particularly in late August, where numbers jumped to 19.7K. The app's active user base also saw growth, increasing from 273.1K at the start of the quarter to a peak of 327.2K in late August, before ending the quarter at 286.7K.
The myAlpha Mobile app by Alpha Bank experienced a consistent download rate, with a slight increase in late August reaching 6.2K. Active users showed stability, peaking at 293.5K in late August and maintaining around 270.1K towards the end of September.
Lastly, NBG Business Mobile Banking saw a moderate download trend, with a peak of 3K downloads in late August. Unfortunately, data on its active users was not available for this period.
