In the third quarter of 2024, the top five cryptocurrency apps on the Android platform in Tunisia exhibited varied performances in terms of downloads and active user engagement. These insights, derived from Sensor Tower data, reveal intriguing patterns across the region.
Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto started the quarter with a notable 4.6K weekly downloads, but this figure gradually decreased to just over 500 downloads by mid-August. However, a resurgence in September saw downloads peak at approximately 6.4K. Active user numbers for Binance also fluctuated, beginning at around 72.8K and reaching a high of 81.2K in mid-September before settling at 62.6K by the end of the quarter.
Tonkeeper — TON Wallet experienced a similar downward trend in downloads from July to early September, starting at 4.2K and dropping to 180. A brief spike in late September pushed downloads to 1.1K. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 6K to 6.2K, with a slight peak towards the end of September.
Cryptomania —Trading Simulator saw consistent growth in downloads, starting at 750 and peaking at 4.7K by late September. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, increasing from approximately 4.1K to 8.9K over the quarter.
Sweat Wallet began with 2.8K downloads, which steadily declined to 147 by the end of September. Despite this, active users showed resilience, fluctuating between 112K and 130K, with a notable increase towards the end of the period.
Lastly, Bybit: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto had an interesting journey, starting with 477 downloads, spiking to 2.3K in early July, then stabilizing at lower numbers for the remainder of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 2.6K in July before stabilizing around 1.1K by September's end.
