In the third quarter of 2024, the Food and Drink app category on the Android platform in Peru showcased interesting trends, as captured by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the top five performing applications:
PedidosYa - Delivery Online, published by PedidosYa S.A, saw its weekly downloads peaking at about 25.5K in late July. The app maintained a moderately high level of weekly active users, starting at 199.6K in early July and settling around 183.5K by the end of September.
Starbucks Perú experienced a fluctuating download pattern, with a notable increase to 14.2K in the last week of September. Active user numbers also varied, reaching a high of approximately 88.3K in the first week of September before ending the quarter at around 87.4K.
Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery maintained a relatively steady download rate, with a peak of 14.8K in late July. The app's active users showed a slight dip from 330.4K at the beginning of the quarter to 319.2K by the end.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery experienced a significant surge in downloads, peaking at 28.9K in mid-August. The active user count also rose notably during this period, reaching 71.5K before dropping to 44.4K by the quarter's close.
Lastly, TaDa Delivery de Bebidas Perú demonstrated a strong upward trend in downloads, culminating at 15.2K in the final week of September. The app's weekly active users mirrored this growth, increasing from 84.6K in early July to over 100K by the end of the quarter.
