In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of Europe's top food delivery apps on the Android platform showcased interesting trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the weekly downloads and active users for these apps, offering a glimpse into the competitive landscape of food delivery services in the region.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, beginning at around 109K in early July and reaching approximately 204K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users also reflected a consistent upward trend, growing from about 3.6M to over 4.3M during the quarter.
Glovo: Food & Grocery Delivery showed a fluctuating download pattern, with numbers peaking at over 151K in late September after a dip to around 101K mid-month. The active user base remained relatively stable, hovering around 2.1M to 2.3M throughout the quarter, indicating a steady engagement level.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery had a varied download trajectory with significant spikes, notably reaching over 109K in late September from a low of about 71K in mid-July. The active user count saw a gradual increase, from approximately 2.9M at the start of the quarter to over 3.1M by the end.
Trendyol Go experienced a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting at about 91K and decreasing to just over 57K by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a stable active user base, with numbers slightly fluctuating around 1.3M.
Yemeksepeti - Food & Grocery had a consistent download performance, averaging around 76K to 83K weekly downloads, with a slight dip in early September. The active user numbers showed minor fluctuations but remained close to 2M throughout the quarter.
