In the third quarter of 2024, the gacha game genre on Android in the United States showcased intriguing trends. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five gacha games during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Last War:Survival Game saw an impressive revenue climb, reaching nearly $3.7M by mid-September. Downloads peaked in late September at around 224K, while weekly active users surged to approximately 566K during the same period.
For Whiteout Survival, revenue reached a high of about $2.2M in early September. Downloads increased steadily, peaking at over 86K at the end of the quarter. The game also experienced a rise in weekly active users, culminating in approximately 510K by the end of September.
RAID: Shadow Legends maintained strong revenue, with a notable peak of around $1.2M in late September. Despite a stable download rate, weekly active users experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter at about 65K.
DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE exhibited fluctuating revenue, with a significant peak of approximately $1.6M in early August. Downloads remained consistent, while weekly active users hovered around 116K by the end of September.
Finally, Puzzles & Survival saw revenue fluctuations, peaking at nearly $770K in mid-August. Downloads varied, starting strong in July with over 147K, then stabilizing. Weekly active users decreased slightly, ending at around 95K.
