In the third quarter of 2024, the hack and slash category on Android in Kenya saw varied performance across its top five applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Ninja Ryuko: Shadow Ninja Game experienced modest revenue activity, peaking at $14 in late July. The game's weekly downloads showed a gradual decline from 4.3K at the start of July to 1.8K by the end of September. However, its active user base initially increased, reaching a high of 18K in early August, before tapering off to around 11.5K by the end of the quarter.
Fighting Tiger - Liberal did not generate revenue during this period. Downloads peaked at over 4.5K mid-August, before settling at around 2.4K by the end of September. The app's active users fluctuated, peaking at 13K in late August and closing the quarter steadily at approximately 10K.
MARVEL Future Fight maintained a consistent revenue stream, averaging around $20 weekly. The app saw a surge in downloads in early August with over 3.3K, although this tapered to 267 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at nearly 9K in early September before reducing to about 5K.
Stick Demon Shadow Fight reported no revenue, but saw an initial spike in downloads with a peak of 3.8K in mid-August. These numbers dwindled to 583 by the end of September. The active user count mirrored this trend, starting at nearly 6K in late August and decreasing to around 1.5K by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Stormblades also did not generate revenue but maintained a steady download rate, averaging about 1K weekly. Active users saw a peak of 1.4K in mid-August, slightly decreasing to 999 by the end of September.
