During the third quarter of 2024, the health and fitness app market on Android in the Dominican Republic showcased a mix of growth and decline across the top five applications. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue.
WalkWork started the quarter with strong weekly downloads at around 14.7K, but experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter with approximately 1.3K downloads. The app's weekly active users also saw a significant decrease from 44.9K in early July to just over 2K by the end of September.
Health Sense: Blood Sugar Hub saw a dramatic increase in weekly downloads, starting with minimal numbers and peaking at over 43.6K by the end of the quarter. Correspondingly, active users grew from 342 in mid-August to nearly 48.4K by late September.
Health Sense: Pulse & BP experienced fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 19.4K in late July before tapering off to minimal levels by September. The app maintained a steady base of active users, starting at 2.2K and reaching a high of 21.3K by the end of July, before declining towards the end of the quarter.
Flo Period & Pregnancy Tracker maintained consistent weekly downloads throughout the quarter, with a notable increase to 6.6K in mid-September. The app's weekly revenue showed a steady climb, peaking at $480 in early September. Active user numbers remained robust, hovering around 120K and peaking at 138.8K in mid-September.
Health Tracker: Blood Pressure started the quarter with stable weekly downloads, which declined significantly through August, before rebounding to 1.7K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, with numbers decreasing from a high of 9.5K in mid-July to 8.2K by the end of the period.
