In the third quarter of 2024, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in the United Kingdom saw some notable performances among the top five apps. Here’s a breakdown of their trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, as sourced from Sensor Tower.

OS Maps: Explore hiking trails showed a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $61.8K in mid-September, before declining to $44.7K by the end of the quarter. The app experienced a steady download rate, with a peak of approximately 11.4K downloads in late July. However, weekly active users saw fluctuations, with numbers rising to over 30K in late August, before dropping to 25.8K by the end of September.

For TomTom GO Navigation, weekly revenue remained relatively stable, fluctuating between $21.2K and $25.1K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 6.3K in early July, with a downward trend as the quarter progressed, ending at 2.5K by late September. Weekly active users also showed a decline, starting at 16.5K in early July and dropping to 12.7K by the end of the quarter.

Navionics® Boating saw a gradual decrease in weekly revenue, starting at $13.6K in late July and ending at $7.2K in September. The app's downloads showed a similar downward trend, beginning at 734 in late July and falling to 313 by the end of September. Active users followed suit, dropping from 1.1K in late July to 735 by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, CoPilot GPS Navigation showed a steady revenue stream, peaking at $4.7K in early August before settling at $3.1K by the end of September. The app's downloads remained low, fluctuating between 211 and 359 throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline, starting at 494 in late July and ending at 417 by the end of the quarter.
