In the third quarter of 2024, the Romanian market for music and audio applications on Android saw interesting trends among its top five performers, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the performance metrics for each app:
Music Player & MP3 - DDMusic from Hitchhike Tech saw a steady increase in weekly downloads. Starting at around 6.4K in early July, downloads peaked at approximately 13.2K in early September. Active users showed a similar upward trend, beginning at 15.1K and rising substantially to 24.6K by mid-September.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained strong revenue performance with weekly figures generally hovering around $9K, peaking at approximately $10.9K in September. Downloads were consistently high, starting at 8.7K and peaking at 10.4K in early August. The app held a robust active user base, fluctuating around 1.1M throughout the quarter.
Radio Romania Online experienced modest revenue, with a gradual increase from $1 to $3 by the end of September. Downloads were relatively steady, starting at 5.2K and maintaining around 4K towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained stable, ranging from 44.5K to 47.5K.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts saw a consistent pattern in downloads, beginning at 4.2K and slightly dropping to 3.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a downward trend, starting at 226K and closing at 211K.
Learn Piano - Real Keyboard had a notable increase in downloads, starting at 2.4K and reaching 5.5K by late September. Active users also increased from 24.5K to 32.8K, indicating growing interest over the quarter.
