The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers a closer look at the dynamics of these popular apps.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts showed a robust performance with its weekly revenue peaking at approximately $7.7K in early September. Weekly downloads experienced a modest increase, reaching about 6.3K in mid-August. However, the app's weekly active users fluctuated, starting at around 133K and ending the quarter at approximately 120K.
Video Downloader and Player witnessed a significant spike in weekly downloads, peaking at 12.3K in late August. Despite the lack of revenue data, the app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, starting at 151K and closing the quarter at about 102K.
YouTube Music maintained a consistent download trend, averaging around 2.4K weekly downloads. The app's active user base demonstrated stability, hovering around the 370K mark throughout the quarter.
SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs had a varied revenue trend, with a notable peak of $294 in late August. Weekly downloads remained steady, averaging approximately 2.4K, while active users fluctuated around 37K, ending the quarter with a slight decrease.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts had consistent weekly downloads, averaging 1.7K, and maintained a stable active user base at around 22K throughout the quarter.
