In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on Android in Finland demonstrated varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps showed fluctuations in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Karttaselain - Maastokartta from AccelBit Oy experienced a peak in weekly revenue of approximately $7.2K in early July but saw a gradual decline, ending at around $3.4K by the end of September. Weekly downloads peaked at 4.6K in late July, followed by a downward trend to 986 downloads in the last week of September. Active users mirrored this pattern, with a high of 5.1K in July, decreasing to 2.2K by the end of the quarter.
Google Earth maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads ranging from 940 to 1.2K. Although there was no revenue reported, the app kept a consistent base of active users, fluctuating slightly around 9.6K to 10K throughout the quarter.
GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation by AppStar Studios had modest revenue figures, peaking at $71 in early September. Downloads were relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1.1K. Active users fluctuated, starting at 4.3K in July and ending at 3.7K in September.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic demonstrated consistent weekly downloads, with numbers around 1K for most of the quarter. The app sustained a strong active user base, peaking at 14.8K mid-August before settling at around 14K by the end of September.
Maastokartat from MapsiTech Oy saw weekly revenue peaking at $5.4K in late July, followed by a gradual decline to $2.9K by the end of September. Downloads and active users showed a similar trend, with downloads hitting a low of 734 in late September before rebounding to 1.1K, while active users decreased from 2.3K in July to 2.2K by the end of the quarter.
