In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Sweden displayed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides an overview of the trends for each application.
My map saw a consistent download pattern throughout the quarter, with figures ranging from 1.4K to 2K weekly. Notable peaks occurred in the weeks of July 1 and September 9, with downloads reaching approximately 2K and 1.9K, respectively.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady increase in downloads, particularly in late September, peaking at just over 2K. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 42.8K to 41K over the quarter, despite a mid-quarter high of 47.3K.
GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation from AppStar Studios generated revenue consistently between $64 and $127 weekly. Downloads peaked at over 2K in late July, but saw a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 5K and ending at around 4.1K.
Google Earth maintained steady download numbers, fluctuating between 1.3K and 1.8K. Active users remained stable throughout the quarter, with a slight increase towards the end, reaching 16K in late September.
GPS+ Maps, Navigation, Traffic from JVSTUDIOS faced a decline in downloads, starting at 1.4K and dropping to 393 by the quarter's end. This trend was mirrored in active users, which decreased from 2K to just over 1K. Revenue fluctuated, with highs of $105 in early September.
