During the third quarter of 2024, the top paid games on the Android platform in Europe showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed look at how these games performed.
Minecraft: Play with Friends from Mojang displayed a strong performance in terms of weekly revenue, peaking at around $209K in mid-August before gradually declining to $185K by the end of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 7.3K and experiencing a dip in late July, but recovered to 7.3K by the end of the quarter. The game maintained a robust active user base, although it saw a decline from 1.9M to 1.65M over the quarter.
Scopa - Italian Card Game, published by Whatwapp Entertainment, saw its weekly revenue climb steadily, reaching a high of approximately $64K in late September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a notable increase to 6.8K in the week of September 23. The active user count experienced slight fluctuations but ended the quarter at around 35.4K.
For Bloons TD 6 by ninja kiwi, the third quarter saw a peak in weekly revenue of about $30K in early August, followed by a gradual decrease to around $18K by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 2.7K in early September and then tapered off. The active user base remained relatively consistent, hovering around 31K to 34K throughout the quarter.
Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD from Ironhide Games experienced a significant initial surge in revenue, peaking at $82K in late July before declining to $8K at the end of September. Downloads followed a similar pattern, with an early high of 3.7K, eventually settling at around 3K. Active users saw an initial rise but dwindled to approximately 1.9K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, Farming Simulator 23 Mobile by GIANTS Software showed consistent weekly revenue, ranging from $12K to $15K throughout the quarter. The game maintained stable download numbers, generally around 800, with a slight peak at 929 in early September.
