In the third quarter of 2024, the top photography apps on Android in Nigeria exhibited varied performance trends according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the performance metrics for each app.
Photo Lab Picture Editor & Art from Linerock Investments LTD saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $103 in late August. Weekly downloads started at about 33K in early July and gradually decreased to around 25.5K by the end of September. Meanwhile, weekly active users declined from roughly 240K to 196K over the quarter.
Google Photos maintained consistent download numbers, fluctuating between 15K and 19K weekly. The app's active user base remained robust, with numbers hovering around 30M throughout the quarter.
Photoroom AI Photo Editor experienced a moderate increase in weekly revenue, reaching $288 towards the end of the quarter. Downloads varied significantly, starting at 16K, peaking at 29.5K in late July, and settling around 12K by September's end. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at approximately 85K in late July before declining to about 61K.
Video Editor & Maker - InShot saw a modest rise in revenue, culminating at $112 in the final week of September. Downloads remained fairly stable, averaging around 15K to 20K weekly. Active users showed a slight fluctuation, starting the quarter at about 185K and concluding at 170K.
Photo frame app, collage maker had fluctuating download numbers, with a notable dip to 1.2K in early September before bouncing back to 13.8K by the end of the month. Active users increased significantly towards the end of the quarter, starting at about 29K and reaching 73.5K in the last week of September.
