In the third quarter of 2024, pirate-themed games on Android in South Africa showed varied performances, as captured by Sensor Tower data.
Sea of Conquest: Pirate War from FunPlus International AG demonstrated a dynamic revenue trend, peaking at around $2.8K in late August. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise mid-quarter, reaching 865 by August 19, while active users increased steadily from 1.7K to about 1.9K.
Prize Blast by Lagoon Software experienced a modest revenue increase, with a high of $182 in late August. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable absence of new downloads during several weeks, but reaching 335 by early September.
Survival Island: EVO 2 from Not Found Games maintained a low revenue trajectory, ceasing entirely after mid-July. Downloads remained relatively stable, peaking at 188 in mid-September, while active users saw a gradual increase from 104 to 126 during the quarter.
Pirates Flag-Open-world RPG by HeroCraft Ltd. saw minimal revenue, with sporadic gains. Downloads decreased over time, reaching a low of 48 in mid-September, while active users also declined, ending the quarter at 75.
Lord of Seas: Survival&Conquer from Atlas Studio Co., Ltd. saw a notable revenue climb, hitting $224 in late August. Downloads peaked at 511 in early September, with active users rising to 445 during the same period.
