In the third quarter of 2024, the puzzle game category on the Android platform in Africa showcased a variety of performance trends. Data collected by Sensor Tower highlights how these top five apps fared in terms of downloads and active user engagement.

Block Blast!, developed by Hungry Studio, saw robust download numbers, with a notable peak of approximately 243K in the first week of July. However, the quarter ended with downloads stabilizing around 146K. The game's weekly active users remained fairly consistent, hovering just under 1M throughout the period.

Sporcle Party: Social Trivia from Sporcle, Inc experienced a significant rise in downloads, starting at around 24.6K in early July and concluding the quarter with a high of nearly 294K. This growth was mirrored in its active user base, which climbed from 36.5K to approximately 637K by the end of September.

Granny, by DVloper, maintained steady download figures initially, with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping from 129K to about 77K. Meanwhile, active users peaked mid-quarter at over 642K before decreasing to approximately 428K.
