In the third quarter of 2024, the top sandbox games on the Android platform in the United States experienced varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the dynamics of these popular apps.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw its weekly revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, starting at approximately $2.6M in early July and closing at around $2.3M by the end of September. Weekly downloads peaked mid-July at nearly 220K before declining to around 146K by the end of the quarter. The game maintained a strong base of weekly active users, though there was a gradual decline from about 19.5M to 17M.

Minecraft: Play with Friends, developed by Mojang, displayed a downward trend in revenue, beginning with $271K and ending the quarter at $165K. Download numbers were volatile, with a notable peak of 199K in mid-September, while the weekly active users decreased from around 2M to 1.5M over the three months.

Melon Sandbox by playducky.com experienced relatively stable weekly revenue, maintaining figures close to $10K. Downloads experienced a downward trend, starting at 76K and dropping to 44K by the end of September. However, weekly active users showed consistent engagement, hovering around 670K.

Download numbers initially were around 57K at the start of the quarter but fell significantly to approximately 14K by the end. Despite this, the active user base showed resilience, remaining around 130K toward the quarter's end.

Lastly, Pixel Craft Legends by funtab999 exhibited no revenue generation but maintained steady downloads, with figures ranging from 42K to 29K. The game saw a rise in weekly active users, growing from about 69K to 117K by the end of September.
