During the third quarter of 2024, the space game category on the Android platform in Nigeria saw varied performance across the top five applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these games exhibited different trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.
Galaxy Attack: Shooting Game from 1SOFT showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, which peaked at about $28 in early September before dropping to $16 by the end of the month. Weekly downloads were fairly stable, with a slight dip from 4.7K in late July to around 2.4K at the end of September. The game maintained a robust user base, with active users fluctuating between 36K to 32K throughout the quarter.
Galaxy Shooter - Space Attack experienced a gradual rise in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 2.8K by mid-September. The number of active users also increased steadily, peaking at around 8.6K by the end of the quarter. However, the game did not generate any significant revenue during this period.
Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes by ELECTRONIC ARTS had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a high of $82 at the start of the quarter and ending at $24. Downloads saw a significant spike to 3.9K in early September, while active users increased to over 10K during the same period, before stabilizing around 7.1K by the end of September.
Space shooter - Galaxy attack recorded an increase in downloads initially, peaking at 2.5K in late July, before a decline to 748 by the end of September. Active users showed a similar trend, rising to 25.8K mid-quarter and settling around 20.5K. Revenue saw a notable increase to $24 at the quarter's end.
Lastly, Galaxiga Arcade Shooting Game demonstrated a decrease in both downloads and active users towards the end of the quarter. Downloads dropped from 2.5K in late July to 522 by the end of September, with active users declining from 7.9K to 3.7K. Revenue remained minimal throughout the quarter.
