During the third quarter of 2024, the top sports apps on the Android platform in Kenya demonstrated intriguing trends in downloads and user engagement, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Betika saw an impressive increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 166.7K by the end of September. The app maintained a robust presence with weekly active users growing steadily from 968K to approximately 1.39M over the quarter.
Odi bets Betting app experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 70.6K mid-August. The active user base also showed growth, climbing from 273.5K in early July to around 309.5K by mid-September.
SportPesa Kenya showed a steady increase in downloads, with numbers rising to over 68.3K in mid-August. Weekly active users also increased, starting at 224K and reaching nearly 288.1K by the end of September.
Bangbet saw its download numbers climb to 46.7K in late August, while the active user count grew from 268.2K to about 289.3K by the quarter's end.
Football League 2024 had a notable surge in weekly downloads, particularly in late July with 38.2K downloads. The active user numbers fluctuated but eventually rose to 166.3K by the end of the quarter.
