In the third quarter of 2024, the adventure games category on the iOS platform in the United States saw varied performance trends among the top five titles. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these popular games.
Zenless Zone Zero from COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. had a notable start with over 1.1M downloads in the first week of July. However, downloads declined steadily, reaching around 15.8K by the end of September. The game's weekly revenue also showed an initial peak of approximately $1.1M, followed by fluctuations, ending the quarter at $144K. Active users decreased from 955.8K in early July to 111.4K by the end of the quarter.
The Sims™ FreePlay by Electronic Arts maintained a stable weekly revenue throughout the quarter, ranging from $242K to $303K. Downloads were relatively consistent, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, from 46.6K to 38K. Active user numbers hovered around the 160K mark, showing minor fluctuations.
Genshin Impact, another title from COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD., experienced significant spikes in weekly revenue, notably reaching $1.8M in late August and $1.7M in mid-September. Weekly downloads showed moderate variation, peaking at 47.4K mid-July. Active users increased notably towards the end of August, reaching over 707K, before stabilizing around 535K by the end of September.
Aha World: Doll Dress-Up Game from Aha World Ltd. exhibited a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $26.3K in early August and stabilizing around $22.4K by the end of the quarter. Downloads followed a downward trend from 42.1K in late July to 19.1K in late September. Active users saw a peak in early August at 127.2K, then decreased slightly to 110K by the end of September.
Super Mario Run by Nintendo Co., Ltd. showed a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting at $9.5K and ending at $6.3K. Downloads also decreased from 33.4K to 22.6K throughout the quarter. Active user numbers followed a similar trend, decreasing from 201.3K to 166K by the end of September.
