During the third quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in Guatemala exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Yango: taxi, food, delivery, developed by YHub ZAF (Pty) Ltd, demonstrated a noticeable fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at about 1.9K downloads in the last week of July. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, reaching a high of approximately 4.8K in the same period.
Uber - Request a ride from Uber Technologies showed consistent weekly downloads, with a slight increase to 1.6K in early September. The app consistently engaged over 100K active users weekly, with a peak of roughly 109K in mid-September.
inDrive. Save on city rides by SUOL INNOVATIONS LTD experienced a stable weekly download trend, with small fluctuations and a peak of 1.3K downloads at the start and end of the quarter. The weekly active users remained steady, with a high of around 11.6K in early September.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver also from Uber Technologies showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 325 in early August. The app's weekly active users rose steadily, peaking at about 2.5K in mid-September.
Lastly, Lyft maintained a lower download rate compared to its competitors, with downloads fluctuating around the 100 mark throughout the quarter. The active user base remained stable, ranging between 480 and 554, peaking in mid-September.
