In the third quarter of 2024, the Mobile Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre on the iOS platform in Madagascar saw varied performances among the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here, we delve into the weekly trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for these popular titles.
Brawl Stars by Supercell showed fluctuating revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at around $495 in early July before experiencing a significant dip to $12 by mid-August. The app's downloads demonstrated a stable pattern, with numbers hovering around 80 to 118 per week. Notably, its active user base increased from 563 in early July to a peak of 655 by late September.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from Shanghai Moonton Technology Co., Ltd. saw its highest revenue of $103 in the last week of July, with a gradual decline thereafter. Downloads showed a peak of 71 in early August but generally remained low, especially towards the end of the quarter. The active user count initially rose, peaking at 132 in early August, before settling around the 90s by the end of September.
Onmyoji Arena by NetEase Games had a modest revenue performance, maintaining a consistent yet low figure of around $2 to $5 throughout the quarter. The app did not record any downloads or active user data during this period.
Squad Busters, another title from Supercell, experienced low revenue, peaking at $4 at the end of July. Downloads were highest at 41 in the second week of July, with a noticeable drop in subsequent weeks. The app recorded only a single week of active user data, with 10 users in mid-September.
Arena of Valor by Level Infinite also recorded minimal revenue, consistent at around $1 to $2 weekly. The app saw sporadic downloads, with a peak of just 3 in mid-August, and there was no active user data available for this period.
