In the third quarter of 2024, Estonia's iOS sports app market showcased intriguing dynamics, with the top five apps exhibiting varied performance trends in terms of downloads and revenue. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower, offering insights into each app's journey over the quarter.
Rally TV from WRC Promoter GmbH experienced fluctuations in both weekly revenue and downloads. Revenue peaked at approximately $474 in mid-July, with a general decline by the end of September to around $283. Downloads were modest, with notable spikes such as 66 downloads in the week of July 15, followed by a decrease and minor resurgence in late September.
F1 TV, published by Formula One Digital Media Limited, saw a steady revenue stream, with a peak of $277 in late August. The app's downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting strong with 57 downloads in early July and tapering off to single digits by the end of September.
Playtomic - Padel & pickleball from Playtomic S.L. showed consistent growth in downloads, reaching a high of 299 in late September. Revenue trends mirrored this upward trajectory, peaking at $122 in late August and closing the quarter at $105.
Formula 1®, also by Formula One Digital Media Limited, demonstrated a more volatile revenue pattern, starting at $116 in early July and experiencing fluctuations before settling at $69 by the end of September. Download activity remained relatively stable, with occasional spikes like 67 downloads in late July.
Lastly, UDisc Disc Golf from UDisc LLC maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 76 downloads in late July. Revenue trends were similarly stable, although they dipped to $29 in early September before slightly rebounding to $31 by the end of the quarter.
