In the third quarter of 2024, the top beauty retail applications in Germany showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Mein dm saw a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, particularly in September, peaking at around 161K in the week of September 9. This growth was mirrored in its weekly active users, which increased steadily, reaching approximately 1.85M by late September.
Douglas - Parfüm & Kosmetik experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, culminating in approximately 28K by the end of September. Its weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, rising from around 125K in early July to about 133K by the quarter's end.
Rituals Home & Body Cosmetics had a significant spike in weekly downloads, notably reaching 35K in early September. The app's active user base also grew, peaking at around 68K during the same period.
SEPHORA - Maquillage, Parfum maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, with figures hovering around 10K to 11K. Its active user count remained relatively consistent, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 122K.
Lastly, flaconi exhibited a notable increase in downloads in mid-September, reaching around 16K. Its active users showed a steady rise, peaking at nearly 200K by mid-September before settling at approximately 182K at the quarter's close.
