In the third quarter of 2024, the beauty retail app market in the United Kingdom witnessed interesting trends across its top five applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps, focusing on weekly downloads and active users.
Boots showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, beginning with 47K and reaching over 58K by the end of September. The app also maintained a robust base of weekly active users, starting at 425K and peaking at 460K in late September.
For Superdrug - Beauty and Health, weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, beginning at 27K and peaking at 29K towards the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 81K and rising to 84K by the quarter's end.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads from 46K in early July to just 7.7K by the end of September. However, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 80K and 105K throughout the quarter.
LOOKFANTASTIC: Beauty & Makeup saw a moderate decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 16K and ending at 12K. The active user base showed minor fluctuations, mostly staying around the 90K to 100K range.
Feelunique: Limitless Beauty displayed a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 11K and climbing to nearly 19K by September's end. The app's active users increased steadily, from 151K to 170K over the quarter.
