During the third quarter of 2024, the top business applications in Europe exhibited notable trends in downloads and active user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading apps in this category.
Microsoft Teams saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, rising from around 386K in early July to approximately 879K by the end of September. This app also experienced a notable growth in active users, starting the quarter with 10M and climbing to nearly 13M by quarter's end.
For Zoom Workplace, the weekly revenue remained relatively stable, with figures around $150K to $175K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly downloads showed an upward trend, rising from about 329K at the beginning of July to nearly 480K by the end of September. Active users increased from 6.2M to approximately 7.5M during the same period.
LinkedIn: Jobs & Business News maintained a strong revenue stream, peaking at about $2.4M by the end of September. Weekly downloads steadily increased from around 244K to nearly 300K. The app's active users also showed growth, moving from 14.5M to over 15M.
The performance of Indeed Job Search highlighted a consistent download trend, starting from 257K and slightly decreasing to 257K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning with 7.4M and closing the quarter with just over 7M.
Lastly, Microsoft Authenticator experienced a surge in weekly downloads, which rose from around 525K to over 684K. The app's active users grew significantly, starting at 15.6M and reaching 18.2M by the end of September.
